Don’t Run Away: A Psalm by Quinn Graham

Quinn Graham, Will Graham’s son and Billy Graham’s great-grandson, has written a special  psalm to share. This one, entitled “Don’t Run Away,” was inspired by a message Quinn recently heard his dad preach.

Don’t Run Away!

I.

You may be down today

You may be angry

Angry with God because you think that He let you down

You just want to run away from God

You want to live life your own way with your own rules

Don’t run away!

If you decide to run away nothing will turn out well

Running away makes it worse

You could waste all your money on cigarettes and alcohol

II.

Soon you may get tired of living without God

You will want to come back to God, back home

God will always be on the lookout

He won’t stop looking until you come back

Once you finally come back to God, He will fix everything

When you turn your life the opposite direction

All of heaven will rejoice because you come back home

Don’t run away

Miracles: A Psalm by Quinn Graham

We have a modern-day psalmist on our hands:  Quinn Graham, Will Graham’s son and Billy Graham’s great-grandson, has written a special  psalm to share. This one, entitled “Miracles,” was inspired by a message Quinn recently heard his dad preach. Enjoy this reminder that God is always working on our behalf.  Miracles are all around us!

Miracles happen all the time

We may see it or not

Miracles happen to you every day

We just need to open our eyes

Miracles aren’t coincidences

Coincidences have no meaning

But miracles have a meaning

You may wonder how you can tell if it’s a miracle or not

All you need to do is open your eyes

Open your eyes so that you can see what God really does

Open your eyes so that you may see the kingdom of heaven

God does miraculous things

We just don’t see them all time

Miracles happen everyday

To you, me, your friend, or maybe even the haters of God

God does miracles for everyone

Miracles change our lives

Time: A Psalm by Quinn Graham

Quinn Graham, Will Graham’s son and Billy Graham’s great-grandson, has written a special psalm to share. This one, entitled “Time,” was inspired by a message Quinn recently heard his dad preach. A great reminder that your life has purpose and such great value…

Time
Time is very important
Time goes by very quickly
We don’t have infinite time
Our time can end at any time
We have a beginning and an end on earth
We can choose how to live life
We can choose to go our own way and not care about God
Or we can choose to go God’s way
You probably won’t spend your time wisely if you go your way
When you accept God into your life you wish you had done it earlier
God will help you spend your time wisely
God helps you make every second of your life have a purpose
But when we get to heaven we will have all the time
How now will you spend your time?

God’s Gifts: A Psalm by Quinn Graham

We have a modern-day psalmist on our hands:  Quinn Graham, Will Graham’s son and Billy Graham’s great-grandson, has written a special  psalm to share. This one, entitled “God’s Gifts,” was inspired by a message Quinn recently heard his dad preach. Enjoy this reminder of God’s goodness, love and grace…

God’s Gifts
God has a gift for everyone
There is no price
His gift is free
His gift is eternal life
This gift is free because He loves us
He paid the price for us
He was beaten and suffered on the cross for us
He paid the price
He bridged the gap for us
So that we can come to Heaven
And spend eternal life with Him

Gods gift isn’t just eternal life
He gives us peace
So that we won’t fear anymore
He gives us joy
So that we can rejoice in His name
He gives us a purpose                                              A purpose that no one else has
He gives us spiritual life
This spiritual life is our new life with God
Spiritual life tells God that we can come up to heaven
His last gift is forgiveness
The only way to heaven is forgiveness
The only way to be forgiven is accepting Jesus as our Lord and Savior
Have you accepted Jesus into your life?

Saturday Snapshot: Spring at The Cove

Spring at The Cove

One of the most beautiful times of the year at The Cove is spring. The flowers are blooming, birds are singing, and the trails are perfect for hiking. It’s a time to be outside and enjoy God’s beautiful creation.

The tulips planted by the entrance are showing their bright spring colors.

As you drive through, you are met with beauty and reminded of God’s most perfect creation. “Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.”(John 1:3)

When you enter The Cove, you can leave the world behind and have a time of rest.  “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.  For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” (Matthew 11:28-30)

The beautiful trails and creeks lining our property offer great opportunities for hiking or just sitting on a bench while you listen to the birds sing and the water bubbling over the rocks.

As you head towards our chapel, you will see even more beautiful flowers along the way. The chapel is open for visitors and is a wonderful place to come and sit for a while to pray.

To end today’s blog, we’ve included a special poem about Spring that was  written by Quinn Graham (son of Will Graham) right before Easter.  Quinn is 12 years old and loves to write psalms. May this “Psalm of Spring” bless you!

Spring is Right Around the Corner

“The cold winter winds are almost over
The winter snow all gone
The trees start sprouting their green leaves
The nice warm air is almost here
Easter is also right around the corner
Soon we will celebrate the day that Jesus rose from the dead
We will all rejoice
Because Jesus is not dead
Spring is right around the corner
The day of life waking up
Just as Jesus rose from the dead
Animals start coming out of hibernation
And plants start sprouting
The wonderful spring life is almost upon us.”

We hope you’ll come visit us at The Cove this spring! We have some wonderful seminars, events, and guest concerts, or you can create your own spiritual retreat.

Billy Graham Has Finished Well: A Tribute by Quinn Graham

This week has brought many beautiful and sweet tributes to honor the life and legacy of Billy Graham. One of the most heart-warming comes from one of his great grandchildren, 12 year-old Quinn Graham.

Billy Graham Has Finished Well: By Quinn Graham

It’s an old picture of Daddy Bill

He is preaching to hundreds, maybe even thousands of people.

With his eyes looking straight at you,

And his Bible in his left hand.

He is pointing to you with his right hand

And preaching the Word of God to you.

This black and white picture

Shows Daddy Bill doing what he loved to do

What God called him to do:

Preaching the Truth of Jesus Christ.

We have lost a loved one,

Loved by millions

Because he loved millions –

Billy Graham.

He has done an inspiring job of preaching God’s Word.

He never took a break from God’s Word,

He never gave up on trying to reach people across the world.

He went everywhere to preach the Word of God . . .

If there was one person across the world who didn’t know the Word of God

Billy Graham would do anything to get him saved,

Because one person saved could mean that his whole family gets    saved.

No matter what happened to Billy Graham

He would never give up on God’s purpose for him;

He has preached in person to over 200 million people.

That means 1/30th of the whole world has heard him . . .

Today we dedicate this day to Daddy Bill,

For he is now with his Lord and Savior,

For he has finished well . . .

Saturday Snapshot — A Psalm About God’s Purpose For You

Twelve-year-old Quinn Graham (Billy Graham’s great-grandson) is at it again.  Now a published author (Quinn’s Book of Psalms was published in December 2017 and gifted by him to his parents for Christmas), he’s kicking off the new year with a psalm titled, God’s Purpose For You.

Won’t it be interesting to see how God continues to use Quinn’s gifts in the years to come!

Print the psalm now.

In case you were wondering, Quinn does give you permission to print and share as God leads you.
