Weekly Bible Verse: 1 John 4:7-10

Our weekly Bible verse comes from 1 John 4:7-10,

Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.  Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.  This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins” (NIV)

The greatest command that God gives us is to love Him and love others. We do this by our encouraging words, caring actions, and selfless love. We also love others by sharing His truth with grace.

Weekly Bible Verse: Matthew 11:28

Our weekly Bible verse comes from Matthew 11:28 (NIV).

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”

Our busy schedules can leave us tired, both physically and emotionally.  Perfect peace can only come from God. If you feel that you need to rest, open His Word and spend time in prayer. God can give you the refreshment that you need.

Weekly Bible Verse: Isaiah 60:22

Our weekly Bible verse comes from Isaiah 60:22 (NIV).

“The least of you will become a thousand,
    the smallest a mighty nation.
I am the Lord;
    in its time I will do this swiftly.”

One of the most difficult things in the Christian life is to wait patiently on God’s timing.  We may not always understand why it is  necessary to wait, but in His infinite wisdom and perfect timing, God will answer our prayers and sustain us while we wait.

Weekly Bible Verse: Psalm 147:10-11

Our weekly Bible verse comes from Psalm 147:10-11 (NIV).

“His pleasure is not in the strength of the horse,
    nor His delight in the legs of the warrior;
the Lord delights in those who fear Him,
    who put their hope in His unfailing love.”

The Lord has found great value in each of us, despite the weaknesses and inadequacies that we see in ourselves.   He only asks that we turn our hearts to Him.

Our weekly Bible verse comes from 2 Chronicles 7:14 (NIV)

 “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”

If we are willing to turn from sin and allow God to direct our lives, He will heal and protect our land.  His favor is upon those that are faithful and committed to Him.
