Saturday Snapshot — God and His Eclipse Gift To Us

The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork. Psalm 19:1 ESV

It seems almost everyone has an eclipse story to share.  Whether you were in the path of totality or somewhere outside it, it was an epic event.

While the eclipse was visible across all of North America, it passed directly through 14 states, allowing people to witness 100% totality — said by many, to be a life-changing experience.

Unless clouds obscured your view, anyone in North America should have been able to view at least a partial eclipse this past Monday.

While Monday was a work day for many, staff and guests at The Cove, here in Asheville, NC, took a few minutes to experience the 99% eclipse.

Here’s a peak at some of us enjoying the heavens declaring the glory of God.

  1. I, too, saw the “angel like” shadows on my front porch and sidewalk. It occurred at 2:48pm which was the eclipse peak time here in the Wilmington/ Leland, NC area. I also was able to see the eclipse just fine and our area never got totally dark.

  2. Wow what beautiful photos. Enjoyed all the excitement
Surrounding the event. What was God saying to
Us. He is almighty, all powerful , all knowing. He gave
Us an experience in nature that overwhelmed us and
Brought his children to worship Him in the beauty of
His Holiness. All praise and glory to His holy name. Amen.

My husband and I live Indiana but traveled to Greenville, KY where one of our daughters live. We spread blankets on the ground with our daughter, son -in-law and 4 grandchildren. The total eclipse was indeed awesome, but the expressions from our grandchildren were heartwarming and a real blessing. From ages 5 to 14 we heard shouts of joy and true worship to our Lord. The children were thanking God for the awesome beauty that He gave them to enjoy. As their grandparents, we were doublly blessed. Thank you Lord!!!
