Weekly Bible Verse: Proverbs 2:1-5

Our weekly Bible verse comes from Proverbs 2:1-5 (NIV)

“My son, if you accept my words and store up my commands within you, turning your ear to wisdom and applying your heart to understanding— indeed, if you call out for insight and cry aloud for understanding, and if you look for it as for silver and search for it as for hidden treasure, then you will understand the fear of the Lord  and find the knowledge of God.”

Weekly Bible Verse: Psalm 51:10

Our weekly Bible verse comes from Psalm 51:10.

Create in me a clean heart, O God,
And renew a steadfast spirit within me.” (Psalm 51:10, NKJV).

May this be our prayer this week. As we ask Him daily to purify our hearts and renew us with His presence, we are able to reach others with His love.

Weekly Bible Verse: Isaiah 43:1-2

Our Weekly Bible Verse comes from Isaiah 43:1-2

“But now, this is what the Lord says—
    he who created you, Jacob,
    he who formed you, Israel:
“Do not fear, for I have redeemed you;
    I have summoned you by name; you are mine.
 When you pass through the waters,
    I will be with you;
and when you pass through the rivers,
    they will not sweep over you.
When you walk through the fire,
    you will not be burned;
    the flames will not set you ablaze” (NIV).

Weekly Bible Verse: Isaiah 40:29

Our weekly Bible verse comes from Isaiah 40:29

He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength.” (ESV)

How do you gain strength in times of weakness? His Word gives you His promise that He is with you. He is present in the trials and seasons where you feel weak. He will be your strength. He will give you what you need this week. Trust in Him. When you feel exhausted, it is time to surrender and let God take over. He is your strength and  hope.

Weekly Bible Verse: Matthew 9: 12-13

Our weekly Bible verse reminds us that He is here for our every need. He will fulfill you. He will satisfy you. He will give you healing and peace.

 When Jesus heard that, He said to them, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy and not sacrifice.’ For I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance” (Matthew 9:12-13, NKJV)

Weekly Bible Verse: 1 Peter 5:8

Our verse for the week comes from 1 Peter 5:8

 “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour” (NKJV).

As you head into this week, stay on guard and be vigilant. The way that we have victory over the enemy is by: praying, reading the Word, speaking life-giving words over situations, and above all trusting the Lord in all times. He already won the victory!

Weekly Bible Verse: 1 Peter 4:7-8

Our verse for the week comes from 1 Peter 4:7-8

” But the end of all things is at hand; therefore be serious and watchful in your prayers. And above all things have fervent love for one another, for ‘love will cover a multitude of sins‘”(NKJV).

As you start this week, remember to love one another with a fervent love.  Take some time and ponder what this truly looks like and what steps you can take this week to put this into practice.

Weekly Bible Verse: 2 Peter 1:5-9

Our weekly verse comes from 2 Peter 1:5-9

“But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge,  to knowledge self-control, to self-control, perseverance, to perseverance godliness,  to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love.  For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.  For he who lacks these things is shortsighted, even to blindness, and has forgotten that he was cleansed from his old sins” (NKJV).

No matter where you are today or who you interact with, remember that others can know the love of Jesus by the way you show His love to them.
